Pendulums - An Introduction

Pendulums are very powerful tools. I remember reading for a wonderful healer at a psychic fair in Toronto, Canada. I asked how she had found me. Interestingly enough she had gone around the large hall with pendulum in hand, dowsing for the “right” reader for her purpose. Dowsing has been used to find water among other things for centuries. A wooden branch cut from a tree and shaped into a Y shape was commonly used. It can help you find a lost article and has many practical uses. Pendulums are a lot of fun and a wonderful introduction to spirit.

Most people use them to divine answers from spirit. The pendulum must be cleared of negativity and its past owners. This may be done as any crystal is cleansed. I like to use crystal pendulums, but they can be made out of wood, metal, or any simple material. I like to say a little “blessing” or affirmation that it be in my highest and greatest good and in accordance with divine will and the free will of all concerned. The pendulum must be balanced so that it stays still when just being held between two fingers. Then you program the pendulum and ask it to show you what direction will indicate the answer “yes” and the answer “no”. You may do this several times to make sure it is right for you. Ask it some simple questions, remembering to ask in a way that is clear so that only yes or no will be the proper response. The more you practice the more you will realize that this takes quite a bit of skill. 
Pendulums are used in healing. They can open chakras and close them. They can move energy from one area to another or apply energy as is done in crystal healing. They help identify imbalances in the chakras and auras of people. It can be an indispensable tool in measuring ones health.
