Healing
By Martin Kelman

This is an immense topic and I wonder how one starts. As in all projects that seem vast, I pause, maybe retreat for a while, or just start and see what happens. Don’t let the vastness of this topic stop you from learning about it. There are few rules in your journey. You may wish to learn a lot in general or become a specialist. It is up to you. Again I suggest you pick topics that interest you, or that you find fascinating. Use your intuition.
A smile is healing. A touch on the shoulder for encouragement is healing. A hug is healing. A kind word is healing. Listening is healing. Being kind to yourself is very healing. Helping others is healing for both parties. All are beautiful expressions of the heart and love. Love is spirit and healing is the

application of love to all things. This means that we are all healers, and that it is a very natural experience common to all. Spiritually the purpose of healing is to allow more light to enter the body. Taking away the pain on any level is one of the benefits. Healing involves the mind, body and spirit. Healing in any one area affects all other areas in a beneficial way. Of course, balance is sought in all areas. The body needs to be taken care of and a healthy diet and exercise and rest are very important. Water is most vital as it is an excellent carrier of energy. Can someone who is overweight or smokes be a healer…YES! We are all a work in progress. I am a smoker myself and yet use many healing modalities. I am not condoning bad habits and am working on the source of this habit. What I am saying is don’t say I can’t heal because of this or that. Do unhealthy habits hinder your progress…YES…but who is to say how and when you will develop healing skills and what better way to learn than by healing yourself. We are working towards enlightenment. Do all that you can to heal yourself.

NOTE: There is a reason for all in this world. Don’t discount modern medical practices.
Healers look for non-intrusive ways to heal. A holistic view is taken, looking at mind, body and spirit. They look at the source of the dis-ease and treat the source, which removes the symptoms. I use the term dis-ease as things are not in balance. The body has various energy systems that are not addressed by medical science although this is changing. There are energy pathways throughout the body, which become blocked. Chakras become blocked as well. I work in the area of energy flow and meridians, remove blockages, and dispel negativity, and work with chakras. Generally counseling and teaching is needed as well. Auras need to be refreshed. I realize that because many cannot see or feel these energy systems, they think healing is hocus pocus. I assure you it is not. Keep an open mind. Try any type of simple healing techniques on yourself if you wish and feel it is appropriate. Please have a look at the links provided.
NOTE: You will have to sift through the ads as this topic has become very popularized.
